1979 Revisited

The events this week have been frustrating.

On the anniversary of 9/11, a coordinated attack started on our embassies leading to the death of 4 foreign officials.  This includes a US ambassador.  Said ambassador, Christopher Stevens, had pictures taken of his carcass being carried through the streets.

The US reaction: not to back down on their earlier apology.  The rioters desecrated our flag, our soil, killed our citizens, and our response was a Charlie Foxtrot of apologies, confusion, walkbacks, and lashing out at Romney for speaking out of turn.

On the anniversary of 9/11, while the middle east is in flames, the prime time President lists his priorities: campaigning as usual, fundraiser held by Jay-Z and Beyonce, and an appearance on Letterman.  Not on the list: meeting with Netanyahu.

On 9/12, the President finally gave a response before flying to Vegas.  Not before skipping his daily intel briefing. Again.

On 9/12 we found out the MSM's priorities: yell at Romney for doing Obama's job better than Obama ever could.

Rumors are now that the ambassador, Christopher Stevens, was raped.  For his family's sake, I hope this not to be true.

The US embassy in Yemen has just been stormed.

One has to wonder: what threshold will have to be breached for them to start criticizing TEH PRECIOUS? Here is a short list:

  1. Obama publicly states he enjoys "Fox News".
  2. Obama publicly states he is against abortion in all cases.
  3. Obama becomes a "birther".
  4. Obama joins Tea Party.
  5. Obama all in on voter ID laws.
  6. Obama kicks Bill Clinton in ballsack.
In other words, I just don't see it happening.

Which could be another reason the riots are occurring: the organizers know our press' reaction.

In 48 hours this week, we have been let down by a spineless President and a groveling press corps.  To all those stationed in a US embassy right now, I would be installing gun mounts on the roofs and saving water.  Because you are on your own.
