Double Standard of the Week (NSFW-Mentions US Constitution)

When I was undergrad at PSU, we had a university funded celebration of sexual exploration called "Cuntfest".  The stated goal was "empowerment", or something.

That's fine I guess.  Screaming "cunt" in the crowded room will get you the attention your parents never gave you.  It's so edgy and challenging that it will be accepted on a left leaning campus.  Why, parents should be proud their children are taking a stand for a culturally unpopular issue such as womyn's empowerment.

Freedom of speech you misogynist pig, and so forth.

Fast-forward to last week.

Students are banned on campus from passing out copies of the Constitution of the United.  On Constitution Day.

Now, it is understood that the students involved in such a nefarious act did not have a proper permit.  However, I just get the feeling that if students on campus wanted to have a Cuntfest of their own without a permit, it would be embraced.

Or maybe I'm just being paranoid that some need permits and others do not.  Naaaaaahhhhhhhh.
